look for a rgb.txt file (hopefully in /etc/X11 somewhere)
One of the debian Xorg packages (unstable) was missing the file, so I copied it in from the latest stable Xorg release. (same version #)
Its just RGB values to colour names, so it should not break anything.. I don't think the colours have changed in years!
