I think it is
xlabel
(without the plural).Yes it's seems there is a typo in help patch canvas-help.pd, it's 'xlabel' and not 'xlabels' as specified.
Which reminds me, that only recently (preparing courses) I wished for a way to specify my labels more freely. I think most (all) of my wishes could be fulfilled if there was a way to specify the label explicitly. Eg drawing a spectrum, I'd like to be able to show
Probably something like this could be used: "xlabels 0 0 0 1024 24000 2048 48000, ylabels 0 0dB, -100 -inf" So rather than just specifying the value on the axis that should be labelled with the literal value, I'd like to specify (value, label) pairs, where the <label> will appear at the position of the <value>. <label> could be a symbol or a float. I chose the plural variant ("xlabels" rather than "xlabel"), because it fits, but probably the two are too similar (and this confusing).
