that was my suggestion: run pd (the "audio-engine") on one machine nad pd-gui on another machine. this should work fine (pd and pd-gui communicate via network anyhow) another solution is of course, to have on "pd -nogui" running on your slow host and communicate via FUDI/OSC with a "normal" pd on another machine.
