I’d create a bash script that simply converts the formats for you so both programs with with the native format. Text parsing like this is easier to do outside of Pd or with a scripting language like lua and the pdlua external.

i’m trying to parse a textfile and use some numbers as parameters in a patch. unfortunately i can’t change the way the textfile is formatted, since it has to be compatible with another program. the first lines look like this:
