I read:
I would like to know how Pd manage sampling rate, as I didn't much info about this.
pd runs at the sampling rate you specify on the commandline or in the config files or in the media settings dialogue.
I am trying to read a sound file with readsf~ with an open + path
basically if your soundfile has a different speed than pd you'll have to adjust the playback parameters accordingly, unforutnately this is currently not possible with readsf~, use guenter's sfread~ if you have it around.
message (I also tried with soundfiler and tabplay~, same results ...)
for the same reasons, use phasor~ 0.5 -> *~ lengthoffile -> tabread4~
but when I send him a bang, it reads my file with the voice of Mickey Mouse. So, I decided to set the sample rate lower, but it seems that Pd do not handle with Sample Rates lower than 44.1 as I do not have any
it does but your audio harware might not
Corollar question : Is it possible to retrieve the sampling rate of a Wav, AIFF file (with Pd or other Unix routine - under OSX) ?
there is wavinfo in ext13

oh BTW ugly workaround is of course to resample all your soundfiles to pd's sample rate
