Hallo,
I'm trying to get ogg streaming from Pd working on Debian. Icecast2 is installed and also is functioning at least using ices2 as streamer. But I cannot get Olaf's oggcast~ in the version of the pd-externals ("ogg/vorbis streaming client version 0.2h") package to connect to the server. I'm setting the correct password but still connecting doesn't work. using the help-oggcast~.pd file, Pd reports on attempted "connect localhost 8000":
oggcast~: ogg/vorbis streaming client version 0.2g, written by Olaf Matthes oggcast~: set buffer to 512k bytes oggcast~: encoding 2 channels @ 44100 Hz oggcast~: connecting to port 8000 oggcast~: logging in to IceCast2 server... oggcast~: logged in to http://127.0.0.1:8000/puredata.ogg Pd: signal 13 error: oggcast~: could not send ogg body to server (-1) oggcast~: could not init encoder oggcast~: connection closed oggcast~: connection closed due to initialisation error
And in icecast2's error.log I get:
[2003-09-13 14:32:24] INFO connection/_handle_source_request Source logging in at mountpoint "/pure data.ogg" [2003-09-13 14:32:24] INFO connection/_handle_source_request Source (/puredata.ogg) attempted to lo gin with invalid or missing password
In access.log I have:
127.0.0.1 - - [13/Sep/2003:14:33:31 +0200] "SOURCE /puredata.ogg ICE/1.0" 401 115 "-" "-" 0
which is a bit strange: when using ices2 I do not get a message like this from the ices client, I only get it when using alsaplayer to listen to the ices2 stream.
I made totally sure that the password is indeed correct by double and triple checking. Anyone has an idea what else could be wrong here?
