If you look at the bulk of s_stuff.h, you'll see that those are functions that you never use when making externals. They are part of a file that is never included by externals (ok, there are some special cases). The only public API is still m_pd.h, even though g_canvas.h has crept to a de-facto semi-public, but still, m_pd.h is the only header added by make install.
So, I don't know what's your goal with putting it in s_stuff.h... do you want to hide it? ;)
