Yes, that's what I meant.
I'm not very familiar with fedora ( not to say not at all... ) nor drivers in general, but if I can be of any assistance to get it to work at least on transmitting dmx, please let me know.
I don't use Linux for any serious work... just tried to provide a Linux version as well. And since I usually need input (receiving) it doesn't make any sense for me to get the Erwin Rol driver working.
Just had an idea concerning your problem: what about replacing the file usb-serial.h that comes with my hacked driver with the one that came with your linux distro? Maybe there's something in this file that conflicts with your kernel?
Another possibility would be to modify your original ftdi_sio driver. Look in the supplied ftdi_sio.c for the comment /* hack-hack by olaf.matthes@gmx.de */ and apply the same change to your original ftdi_sio.c.
