I don't know what your solution was: did you recompile libGL from source or did you try something else. Following the reply from Tom, he thought it might be the X11-version. [I didn't use the package of Miller, but from Yves.]
Hmm. Looking at the PDP-MacOSX thread from last March, I think one problem would be that you're not using Apple's X11 (with GL acceleration/ integration). IIRC, you're forced to use another one because Apple pulled the X11.app for 10.2.x, right?
If this is so (using an incompatible X11), you may have to compile pdp/ pidip yourself. Yuck.
