Oh yes, I've run into all kinds of pain over this.
THere's no automatic un-install method; you have to track all the files down. Serach for files named "*sound*" and "*midi*" as well as "*alsa*", in both /usr/lib and /usr/include.
ugh!

Hi all,
I'm wonder if I have to uninstall old (0.5) drivers (and if so, how?) before I install the 0.9.12. The old set of drivers came with my Mandrake Linux distro. I have SBLive! + SBAWE64 and they both apear in my dev.list in the Control Center program. One strange (or not?) thing is that I have no /proc/asound directory, and PD looks for it.
