hello,
I forward this to PD's list because that's an interesting release anouncement and I couldn't post to the framestein list ( I don't want to become a Yahoo! member and receive lots of spam ).

hi,
i haven't thought of this solution but that's really great because once your frames are saved in a folder, you can easily import them in a video editor like premiere and recreate a real-time video.
this means that rendering images in real-time for framestein is not a concern anymore ( except for live situation, but well .... ).
btw, i've added the new features in "framestein-demo.pd" :
- ability to load video files
- added recording toggle to record all frames
find it attached to this mail.
thanks again !!
cheers,
Yves Degoyon.

hello,
writing video with windows' api is a pain in the ass, so i did a "save" command to have some way of saving our work with fs.
syntax: save <directory> <"bmp" or number for jpeg quality>
files are automatically numbered (fs000001, fs000002, ...) and never overwritten.
it's still worth doing a direct to-video feature, but it might take a while...
