There is a crashlog that the OS writes to when an application
segfaults. You can find this by opening the Console.app in
/Applications/Utilities and clicking on the Logs button in the window.
There will be a list of various logs and the relevant pd one will be
under the ~/Library/Logs tab and inside the CrashReporter tab. Crash
logs have a ton of info in them, but the most useful bits begin after
the 'Thread 0 Crashed: ' heading.

hi,
this happens when reading movies or with the capture device?
The pdp_ieee1394 object is in the patch, but even when it isn't activated, it's crashing [see first message below]. When the capture device is running, i get the second message.
All the movies i use are already encoded in photo-jpeg.

i've seen libquicktime crashing with many movies, maybe try to reencode them in photo-jpeg..

Hi list,
PDP keeps crashing.. I'm running in under OSX; - i know that that isn't the preferable system - but i would like to get it working anyway.
These are the messages that i get. I'm running it as root#.
