I CC'ed the Pd list to keep everyone up to date.
This information was not meant to be disclosed, at least, not at this moment. I had forwarded your private mail to several people, but
they were all people who had expressed interest in organising pd~conf, and there weren't many of them. It's not like posting on pd-list.
Sorry, I didn't realize that was touchy content. I'll try to
restrain myself in the future.
I think that the Pd~conf organization should be as open as possible.
I think that backroom deals should be avoided as much as possible
(ideally completely, but...). If Pd~conf is about the Pd community,
then the Pd community should be part of the organization process.
The only thing that I can currently see as needed to be kept closed
is the dealings with grant organizations because they are so political.
The art world is basically all backroom deals and nepotism in the
worst way, and the academic world is often that way too. Granting
bodies are completely part of this system of corruption. I think
that this only hinders the progress of knowledge and art, so I hope
to circumscribe it as much as possible.
