basically because the ipaq doesn't have a fpu and IIRC guenter's version is fixed point or 32bit int clean or whatever.
True, using the arm floating point emulator you can not do sound processing. This means that you can do messages/control processing if you want to with the standard Debian arm package for example (theoretically).
