terrific! thanks for doing this! I'm seeing one bug with the piano roll on win2k. I can't test it under linux since there are no linux Gina drivers so I thought I'd report it in this thread. The piano roll highlists the current step as it goes forwards, but if I manually back it up it it leaves all the sliders highlighted as it goes back.
Thanks again you guys, this and the grid about are really really slick

you will see a two directories, one for pd 34 and one for pd 35 test 11 . i had some issues with the grid working on both 34 and 35 when compiled with 34 libraries and source so that is the reason there are two verions on there . these dll's were compiled with VS .NET if any one was curious to know .

thanks for the responce . i am not sure i understand what you mean by the #ifdef ? why would i
need
that ? wouldnt that only make sense if i was using c++ ? i am not
too
familiar with programming dll's . i should clarified by saying that i am tring to get Yves pianoroll
object
to
compile on nt .
thanks .

make sure you are exporting the function "pianoroll_setup" properly. If you have a working library there you should be able to find the syntax - I haven't got it here I'm on the wrong machine.
its something like:
#ifdef __C++_SYMBOL__ (find out what this is ) extern "C" { #endif
__declspec(dllexport) setup_function()
#ifdef __C++_SYMBOL__ (find out what this is ) } #endif
cheers

hi ,
i just got the pianoroll.dll compiled on my machine [i used the
workspace
from idelay~ and modifed the dependences and some names]. any how ,
now
i
try to load it into pd [both 34 and 35] and i says it can't find the "pianoroll_setup" symbol .
here is the exact message :
load_object: Symbol "pianoroll_setup" not found pianoroll: can't load library
anybody know what this might be. i read some earlier posts that the
code
itself should work fine on both linux and windows, only the
compilation
is
different.
oh yeah.. and to get it to compile using the pd 34 libraries i had
to
change
one of the variable names that seems to have changed in pd 35.
i got idelay~ compiled and running fine on my machine so i am not
sure
what
the problem could be .
any help would be greatly appreciated .
