Please, if somebody can help me get Gem going on ubuntu Breezy or point me to an existing binary that works, I'd really appreciate it. when I compile, make a deb, try to install from the CVS, the deb file is created fine. When I dpkg it:

I cannot locate these packages for Breezy. The packages I am finding and are already installed: libmagick6, libmagick++6c2, libmagick++6-dev and libmagick6-dev.
seems like your magick++-package is called libmagick++6c2 instead of libmagick++6 (as dpkg assumes), similar for libavifile.
change the line10 in debian/control to Depends: ${shlibs:Depends}, pd | puredata, libtiff4, libjpeg62, libmagick++9c2a | libmagick++6 | libmagick++6c2, libmpeg3-1, libquicktime1 | libquicktime4linux0, libavifile-0.7c2 | libavifile-0.7, libdv4
note to myself: there must be a better way for dependencies. consult the debian manual.
