Jose,
In order to attempt the fix I described in the post I linked to, you need to get the PDP source code and compile it yourself. Once you have compiled it, you can simply overwrite the existing pdp files with your newly compiled ones. As I mentioned, however, the PDP source has recently been updated so the fix I mentioned (if it is still required) may not be entirely accurate (line numbers could have changed etc.). To be sure the fix will work, use the same source as I used ( http://zwizwa.fartit.com/pd/pdp/pdp-0.12.4.tar.gz ).
I never had the need to remove window borders in PDP, so can't advise you about that.
Andrew.

Hi, thanks for the quick answers! Should I delete the previous version of PDP before to install the new one? (and, how?) Mine was installed with the PD-extended package... What about the window frames? Is it possible to hide it like in GEM? thanks again!

Jose,
I had similar problems about a year ago with my Quickcam Pro 4000 and PDP. I posted my solution to this list: http://lists.puredata.info/pipermail/pd-list/2005-07/029535.html
The symptoms you describe, however, don't sound as bad as mine were. I don't think I was getting any image at all, so perhaps this isn't the same problem.
I noticed a couple of weeks back that Tom released an updated version of PDP - I'm not sure if he resolved this apparent conflict with the new PWC drivers as I haven't had a chance to play with PD for a while.
Regards,
Andrew.

Hi list... I'm running PD-0.39.2-test4-extended on Ubuntu 6.06 and I got my new Quickcam Pro 4000 to run. But, when I get the video, it pulses (in approx. 2300 msec intervals) a image with more bright than the other frames. I tried with different values for metro and it is the same. The webcam works without pulses in other programs like Ekiga... Could anyone give me any sugestion? (maybe a library problem??) Another question: there is a way to hide the Gnome-window frame of the video?
