I could readout my PS/2 mouse as well as my PS/2 keyboard with your externals when trying to find where my Jogshuttle-wheel is connected which was /dev/input/event3, so I first tried the other devs.
Last I tried I couldn't get this working, but it was at least 6 months ago. What kernel version are you using? Do you happen to know any of the details about getting the PS/2 mouse working in the event system?
