Sorry if that was confusing. You only need to install the "Pure Data"
package in the .dmg to get it working. The instructions about "make"
are only if you want to compile it yourself (purely optional).
When you double-click "/Applications/Pure Data", that will start Pd.
It comes up at "Wish" because its a Tcl app running under "Wish". So
when it says "Wish", that's Pd.

Dear Hans;
Thank your answer to my basic question. Here come another one if you have patience. I dont have experience in compiling and Macos X so i coulnt understand
the instruction in your web site: "I have built a MacOS X Installer generator, so that all you need to
do in order to build a complete .dmg/.pkg MacOS X installer is
download the files from CVS and type "make""I downloaded the .dmg pd 0.37 file from your URL and I have the
tcl.pkg and tc.pkg installed. Where do i have to write "make"? In the
"Wish" console? Passiert nichts. Was heisst "download the file fron
CVS"?Vielen Dank im voraus für die Geduld

Try the new MacOS X installer:

its based on pd-0.37 so it handles audio devices much better, in the
gui in fact..hc
