Just in case you're adventurous - I'm currently using a new streamer, http://code.google.com/p/streaming-audio/, by Michelle Daniels, which is turning out to be simpler and more robust than Jacktrip. You have to install QT4 to compile it, but once you've done that it's _very_ easy to get running.
Can it send high quality tif scans of a compact disc?
Because if you could receive that tiff in less time than it takes to play the album it would be better than real time.

hello,
thanks for your answers and suggestions
I think to use netjack to stream the audio into Pd but I never tested it .. did someone have some experience with it
?
we have been successfully using jacktrip [1].
and yes indeed there is also pdgst, but still I never succeed to
compile
it ... time to try again !
the git version has fixed some problems with modern linkers (like the ones in ubuntu)
