Well you could always dump the help files etc. i guess, but wouldnt it vary what is usefull completly between every performance & installation??? And why exactly would you want to get right of "unusefull stuff" (im not really sure PD has any of that stuff)? Its not as if there is a PD imaginable right now that would be larger then what, 50 megs maybe, and thats probably a very high estimate.
I think, the original question was more intended to find, what software *besides* Pd is useful to have. Mozilla or Open Office are not, but a soundfile editor like Rezound probably is. Also ecasound would be useful as well as icecast2, IMO, or a midi sequencer.
