I was the one trying to do a windows port of readanysf~ with a friend.
Almost got there but I stopped because my friend went back to France and Flext was giving me an error I had to report to Thomas (if remember correctly) . Should try compiling with the new version of Flext. Just got to dig it up.

Vincent,
the newest version of readany, which I worked on heavily from feb-april, is now compiled on OS X. I haven't released it yet, 'cause I haven't gotten around to cleaning it all up. been busy. BUT, it should be entirely possible to compile readany for windows. The libs are all available for win. One just needs to do it. Might a be a small summer project of mine. But, one guy wrote me once that he was working on a windows port. I never heard from him after that.
best of luck -august.

Dear list,
Are there any chances to get the same functionalities of readanysf~ on windoz running Pd? i.e. : read sound files from disk with the following
- formats: wav, aiff, ogg, flac, mp3
- functions : seek and get position, bang at end, looping and even
varispeed (last one not essential for my purpose though)

ps: you should be able to get a taste of readanysf~ for Linux at: http://aug.ment.org/readanysf/
