the help bug only affects pd-extended. pd-vanilla is doing fine. I am not sure if the workaround i posted for the help-crash really works. as I see it in pd vanilla, the first entry is a mac OS 10.5 feature to "search" inside help. the workaround basically renames the help section to "help!" but that is not a solution and the search is also not included. the worse bug is, that pd-extended crashes when you try to save a patch. (it even crashes when you save something in any other program). m.

Well, I don't I think I'll touch Leopard at least until .1 is out.
We can wait for the bugs to settle. The bugs that I have seen have
been deep inside of Apple's HIToolkit, so it's looking like it's
their bugs. I believe there is a workaround for the Help menu
crasher in Tcl/Tk CVS. I'll try to update the version in the auto- builds when I get a chance..hc

Hi
Thanks folks for the advice re: Pd in rosetta. I have tried it and it seems to work, although Jack no longer functions and a patch repeatedly crashed for some reason (worked fine in tiger PPC). Unfortunately Jack features quite heavily in my work at present.
I read that some bugs had been fixed for Leopard (concerning the help menu). Any ideas on the timeframe for those fixes to filter through to the next release, and will it be on 0.39 or the Auto-build
versions?many thanks
