|I had the time to investigate why |the lame encoding was wrong |on linux, and got to this : | |there are difference between Windows |and Linux lame APIs, |they are hidden by Windows' wrapper DLL |( I hate DLLS !!! ) : | |when, in windows you ask to encode N samples, |it is equivalent to encoding N/2 samples on linux. | |+ the chunk size must be set to a very special value : | |2*1152 for MPEG-I |and 2*756 for MPEG-II !!! | |I assumed we are using MPEG-I layer 3. | |So, here is a candidate release for shoutcast~ ( linux ). | |Enjoy!!! | | |Yves/ | |PS : did I see a virus on this list ( thanks for yesterday ???? ) ???
