hmmm ... just worked out that mplayer is using ir41_32.dll codecs ... windows stuff (not ffmpeg)... strange... can ffmpeg decode any indeo codecs at all?

all,
trying to compile pidip ...(0.12.19) with pd 0.38.4... for pidip_live~ ... some things are unclear.
- which version of ffmpeg?.. the INSTALL says the absolute latest
from cvs but pidip wont compile with version 2005 06 11 (latest I can get). The link on the pidip page points to a local 2003-03-04 ffmpeg version. Pidip _will_, however, compile with version 2005 02 08 .....
but.... then pdp_live~ wont read my indeo encoded video files. neither indeo3.4, 4.5 or 5.1 (all encoded in windoze). .... whereas mplayer can read them all, all of them, all! ... doesn't mplayer use fmpeg as well..... grumble.
any ideas?
