reading a textfile with [msgfile] gives the error: msgfile_read: unable to lseek /usr/blabla even if the textfile is written with [msgfile]
[msgfile] is using pd's paths to guess the filenames; try adding "." to your searchpath ("-path ."); this should make it work.
thanks for your answer. i couldn't get it to work. i must say, that i'm not an osx user myself and the problem is probably that i'm not too experienced with it. i have installed h.c. steiners newest pd.app (0.38.4). since i couldn't find the .pdrc-file and have no idea where to put it, i just added in: Pd -> Preferences -> Path the entry '.' (without quotes). suddenly the
[msgfile]-[read(-problem
is still existing.
sorry for asking such basic questions: where is the .pdrc-file in the pd.app? what is the name of it?
if somebody has an already compiled and fixed zexy.pd_darwin, i
would
really appreciate to get it.
thanks for any hints
