Very brief release notes are in
http://crca.ucsd.edu/~msp/Pd_documentation/x5.htm#s1
of for al lteh gory details you can look at the git log on:
http://pure-data.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=pure-data/pure-data;a=...
...
Would it be possible for you to run 0.44-1 again, save settings (so that your registry breaks again) - verify that it's broken still for 0.43, then somehow copy all the Pd registry settings so I can see them? Even better would be if you could show me the Pd registry settings before and after saving them from 0.44 so I can try to guess what setting it is that's causing the trouble.

Yes, it is working again...(0.43-3) I tried 0.44-0 with the same procedure, but without success. I have one more related question, is there a way to find out which are the changes in every new pd vanilla release?
Thank you!

The keys are under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Pd - you can zap them using regedit.
Then crank up the older Pd and see if that fixes it...

now it seems even worse... now I can't use 0.43-3 anymore. Is it because I tried to run 0.44-0 for a moment? Just to mention, I have run it from completely different location i.e. separate disk. As far as I remember, all 0.43-x versions worked nice on my (winxp + rme hammerfall) system. Things went wrong somehow when I started to use 0.44-x.
Thanks for your help!

I'd be surprised if the change from 0.44-0 to 0.44-1 broke that but who knows.
I happen to have a Hammerfall and a working PC so once I get them in the same building I can try this too.

Hi there!
Recently, I've upgraded from pd vanilla 0.43-3 to 0.44-1 and since then I can't choose ASIO Hammerfall DSP as an audio in/out.
I found this interesting announcement from M. Puckette which says:
Hi all -
Time for the first Pd 0.44 bug fix. I changed the choice of default API (so that MMIO is preferred to ASIO on windows; ALSA before jack on linux, and core audio before jack on Mac OSX - this is so that first-time Pd users who haven't yet chosen an API are reasonably likely to get audio on the first try.

Does anyone knows what I need to do to fix the problem? Thank you! Hrvoje Radnic http://soundcloud.com/sumovi-protiv-valova
