Hi all,
i tried some different audio settings for pd (pd 0.36-0) on my linux machine with my maudio quattro using alsa, i'm experiencing dio errors ever once in a while (about one or two times a minute). well, i can't hear them, but pd complains about it...
using oss, i don't get any dio errors, but can only access the first two channels (/dev/dsp2), but not the second (/dev/adsp2). i tried to remap the second device with a symbolic link to /dev/dsp3, but when i try to open pd with -audiodev 2,3 i can only open one patch. when i open a second (sub-)patch i hear a nasty sound on the first device (/dev/dsp2), that keeps until i quit pd...
is it possible to access the second device of a soundcard with pd? why do i get dio errors when i use the alsa interface instead of the oss-layer (it's the same driver, alsa 0.9.2)?
i'd appreciate any hints... thanks...
