Not quite sure what you mean by that - although you may well be right ;-)
Its true to say that pretty much the only windows people with access to and the knowledge to use compilers are actual C/C++ programmers. Wheras anyone that runs linux knows how to do a "Make" or build even if they have never written a line of code in their lives.

That is the main compiler people use is not free (VC6)
- the free one (borland) is not compatible. Also windows
people are not used to this compile thing and its now where near as easy to set up on windows even if you do have the tools.
