\hey .. could someone please give explanation of how templates/lists work ?
\ex what is happening in 7.stuff/data-structures/*
in this directory there is a readme, or 01.intro.txt or something .. basically, the template mechanism is for managing 'multidimensional' lists (as i understand it), i.e. you can define the data-structure of a single list-entry via a template, which can be made up of numbers, (theoretically symbols/text?), and other lists. and then dynamically expand or shrink your custom made list, fill and refill them, change their size, etc
( pointer, element, append, traverse, sublist, getsize, setsize, get, set .. etc )
these are just the commands for managing the mess. and speak for themselves? see pd/pd/doc/7.stuff/data-structures/0.intro.txt
+ does until work ? how does work ?
yup. it takes 2 bangs, 1 to start and one to stop. basically, my experience with it is that its a very efficient way to hang pd. ;) it should be modified so you can tell it by a number how many bangs to emit. or is there another object doing this?
