hi,
i guess you could try with a kernel 2.4 or 2.5..
the freezings i get with Gem on 2.6 are independent from the gem2pdp bridge, they also happen with plain Gem..
mayb i'm out of date too...( for the gem version to use, i have a quite old cvs snapshot ).
ciao, sevy

hi yves
yes i'm using kernel 2.6.4. the doubled output is because i load the bridge with -lib on startup. when i do without i can load the example as well and get just single output : pdp2gem : a bridge between PDP/PiDiP and GEM v0.5 (ydegoyon@free.fr) pdp2gem : a bridge between PDP/PiDiP and GEM v0.5 (ydegoyon@free.fr) pdp2gem : created mutex
but as soon as the mov starts playing pd crashs. i still can see the texture mapped on the model, but after a few frames everything freezes. it doesn't matter if the gem window is already created or not.
is there anything else i should try? greetings marc

hi,
there's one thing quite strange in your log report : it seems you use 2 pdp2gem objetcs? is this in 2 different pds ??
that's the only explanation i can find for these lines :
gem2pdp : a bridge between GEM and PDP/PiDiP v0.5 (ydegoyon@free.fr) gem2pdp : a bridge between GEM and PDP/PiDiP v0.5 (ydegoyon@free.fr) pdp2gem : a bridge between PDP/PiDiP and GEM v0.5 (ydegoyon@free.fr) pdp2gem : a bridge between PDP/PiDiP and GEM v0.5 (ydegoyon@free.fr)
anyway, i've tested here with a kernel 2.5.7 and it was working fine, but i must say i had some freezing with Gem and kernels 2.6, is that your case ?
cheers, sevy
