Yes very disappointing compared to my G4 I am grabbing the CVS binjaries right now. I have gotten msdn Visual.NET for compiling on windows but all the folks at school look at th einterface and say "oh wow microsoft really screwed it up.
Is there a simple how to for compiling with this monster?

Hi Pat,
The latest build of the CVS version of GEM for Windows is available at www.bogusfront.org
You'll find the performance for patches with lots of texture transfers to be a little disappointing on Windows I suspect, as Microsoft has not optimized this path as much as Apple. Please post the results of your comparisons.
Cheers, Daniel
