hi Hans,
I've replied off list. If you think it should be kept on list just let me know.
The externals compiled but the objects do not instantiate in pd. The error is as follows:
/data/audio/patches/pd/externals/jackx-0.1/jack-ports.pd_linux: /data/audio/patches/pd/externals/jackx-0.1/libjackx.so: undefined symbol: logpost jack-ports ... couldn't create
Do I need a specific version of pd-extended to run these externals? I'm running 0.42.5 here still.
thanks again M
OK, answered my own question again. Installed latest pdextended and the objects seem to work.
Spoke too soon. Jack-ports seems to work ok, but jack-connect does not. When sending the query message console prints:
JACKerror: jack_port_get_all_connections called with an incorrect port 0
Let's keep it on the list for anyone else who might be interested. For any thread that starts on the list, its best to keep it there, unless there is specific privacy concerns about the info in the email.
Have you tried the other libs? I don't really use Jack, so I don't know this stuff so well. Also, I attached a new version of this library which should work on Pd older than 0.43
