the "Phase Locking Vocoder" ( 10.phaselockedvoc.pd ) patch in the fft section of the documentation would let you do this, without changing the pitch (unless you wanted to) does introduce some sound artifacts from the processing, and i don't know what the maximum reasonable file size would be, but should do what you described.

Hi Luke,
you could try 'scrub~' from PeRColate library (http://www.akustische-kunst.org/puredata/percolate/). It is a scrubbing delay line which allows to sort-of 'speed up' or 'slow dówn' the speed of the audio passing through it. That's different from playing a file at a different speed since the overall playback length is the same here. The effect is done by speading up (or down) small fragments of the audio and repeating them (or leaving some out).

Hi all Just wondering whether there are any externals that allow you to change the playback rate of audio data passing through the object? I have not found any so far, so a step in the right direction would be much appreciated.
Thanks
