so that means there is nothing to substitute for the cd.dll (which is
needed to compile on win) when compiling for os x?
is there any manual on the structure needed for compiling c-
programming on osx? both the german and also the manual from pd´s
browser do not tell about os x specifications.

the binary equivalent of dll's in a POSIX system (Unix, OSX, Linux) are not associated with any file extension. But in the case of Pd, the binaries you'll see on successful compile end in ".pd_darwin".

isn't that
/Applications/Pd-0.38.4-extended-RC8.app/Contents/Resources/bin/pd
(while pd is not a directory bit the actual file with no extension)
