Hallo,
hm ... maybe you also need a /dev/ieee1394 - I don't really remember how I did it ...
So id tried to make device nodes for dv1394 and ieee1394 by mknod -m 666 /dev/dv1394 c 171 34 mknod -m 666 /dev/ieee1394/dv/host0/PAL/in c 171 34
Or have i just forgotten some messages to [pix_video] i've only sent the [driver 1( message to it.
normally not - but just try ...
I've tried to send many different messages to [pix_video] but it doesn't work. So, i downloaded the source from gem 0.90 and tried to read it (I'm not familiar with C/C++) and there is one thing which i have detected:
if gem is recognizing that there is dv it should write the message Âieee1394 for linuxÂ, but it doesn't
The message only appears if HAVE_DV is defined, and HAVE_DV when HAVE_LIBDV is defined but i couldn't find where HAVE_LIBDV is defined in the source, and most interesting thing why HAVE_LIBDV or rather HAVE_DV is not defined...

try to use [pix_video] and you must send a [driver 1( message, to tell the object to use dv ...
