well, this was my point; that's why i am talking about 2byte datasize.
if pdp is using yuv420, then the above calculation is valid. if pdp is using yuv422, then pdp and Gem have the same imagesize.
i _think_ that signed short YUV is the "native" cs of pdp, though it can handle other cs's too.
