almost everything in the infobox is a link. so you can click on cyclone and then you will see the information that you suggested. (although this still has to be inserted).
or "GEM is a library for 3D graphics. For an overview of GEM, see <here>".
yes, the libraries are also categories. at the bottom of the page is always a link to the category, that will give you an overview of all objects of a library.
The Cyclone example is sort of an extension of the "deprecated by" suggestion: in general, it would be nice to direct users to the "right object".
if an object is deprecated it still will have its own page. but of course you can add a link to the "right object", but that has to be done manually. for objects from different libraries but with the same name there will be disambiguation pages that will link to all the objects.
