if you want to do it the openGL way, things get more complicated, as expected. i attached a personal GUI-abstraction of an opengl chroma-keyer, that works great on my system, even with bigger movie sizes. (tested on windows and macos, not in linux ...)
you will need Gem and zexy installed with your PD.
