Hi Tina, please always direct your pd-related questions to the pd-list. Yes, py is a library just as gem, so you can put it into the extra folder and add "py" to the startup items in the menu - some py/pyext greeting should come up in the console as soon as you restart pd. Using the binaries you don't need to use flext or compile stuff.
all the best, Thomas

Hi Thomas, I just downloaded the py/pyext windows binaries, and when I try to load Pd, I get the "py: can't load library". I'm new at all this so I'm not sure if I'm doing things correctly. Shouldn't the py library load if I just put the files in my pd folder, the way it does with GEM? I didn't think I needed to download flext too, but I might be wrong? I just thought I could do this without compiling anything... Let me know, and thanks!
