hmmm if you lower the sampling rate for playback while recording in a live situation you'll end up terribly out of sync, if you lower the pitch after you've finshed recording with all the feedback you'll simply lower the feedback's pitch aswell.
Are you sure that if you lower the pitch you'll lower the feedback pitch? In my mind lowering the input pitch means that the output pitch can never constructively resonate with the input pitch, and hence no feedback will arise.
