Simple advices : for some patch you have to turn audio on from the audio menu. from the command line you can select some option for audio (pd --help from a console)
Hope this help.
I doubt it, because the "Test Audio" patch turns on audio with a loadbang normally. It's still good to make sure it has by looking at Pd's main window and checking the "compute audio" checkbox.
If you still don't get sound, it would be helpful to know if Pd gives some messages about this in the console window it was started with. Do you get "audio stuck" messages there?

Hello, I
ve installed PD succesfully but Testing Audio and MIDI on the Help Menu, the MIDI test works o.k. but testing audio I can
t get any audio signal of it (nor of any audio patch). I use a Compaq Armada 737odmt laptop, Pentium 233Hz processor, 64 Mb RAM, Windows ME. Could it be not suficcient for to run audio on PD? Please, any advise would be helpful.
