I have no help for the pdp/gem stuff, but if you have the latest CVS try sending a 'saturation' message with a value from 0 to 1 to pix_video. That should be a lot faster and easier than going through pdp for simple satuartion adjustment. This works with most of the video sources I have available - only a Firewire DV cam lacks image adjustment.
I also have a pix_contrast/saturation object lying around that is pretty efficient (only works with YUV though).

hi
i am having a trouble with these objects
what i would like to do is use
[pix_video]
into
pdp_saturation
and spit out to a Gem window
can you tell me why this is not working?
It seems that pix_2pdp will only allow RGB-input as of now? and when i try to use gem2pdp i get a system crash.
this is os x 10.3.8 current GEM cvs PDP 0.12.4
