hi folks.
i hope someone here has an idea of what's going wrong. i'm running ubuntu hoary 5.04 and i installed puredata via apt. i try running "pd" and nothing happens. when i run the command from a terminal, it just sits there with no result. eventually, i hit control-c and get "Pd: signal 2"
any ideas? i know it's hard without any error messages.
id try 'pd -verbose -d 3' and see if theres more details. chances are it is having difficulty finding the pd-gui files or something..or maybe hanging try to open audio , very bizarre however..
did you try the same running as root (or not as root) ?
i also tried downloading and building from source, but have the same issue.
thanks, jake
