I installed your extern, and at first it couldn't create the synaptics object, and had a constant error message (probably because of the metro) that said: error: inlet: expected '' but got 'bang' that's probably because of the fact that it couldn't create the object. anyway.. I made a new patch and it could create the object, and it told me that It couldn't detect the pad driver. I looked on the actual machine and stuff.. couldn't find the brand of the pad. I'm going to look for it online. Robert

Check under : control panel / system / hardware tab/ device manager/ mice and other pointing devices
It has to say something like : Synaptics ps/2 port pointing device.
If you do have a synaptics, install the proper drivers and then try my experimental external:
