I've opened this file in Text Edit but it has enough ampersands and no "PD", so I'm reluctant to change it.
Which file is "this file"? I wasn't sure about your antecedent.
This was the /usr/bin/login file, which the Terminal Preferences gui was sending me to. I was expecting a bash script or XML like the home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Terminal.plist which you sent me to, but found something more cryptic.
Did you perhaps change the terminal Window Settings at some point and click on "Use Settings as Default"? That may have made it the default.
Yes
- i did a little investigation in the
same file that damion mentioned - the com.apple.Terminal.plist file in Preferences. i opened it in BBEdit and changed this:
<key>ExecutionString</key> <string>/Applications/Pd.command; exit</string>
to this:
<key>ExecutionString</key> <string></string>
and everything is fine again...
That's probably the first place to look.
