On Mandrake, the rpms from Thac's repository may work: http://rpm.nyvalls.se/9.1/RPMS/pd-alsa-jack-extended-0.36-1thac.i586.rpm http://rpm.nyvalls.se/9.1/RPMS/pd-alsa-jack-extended-devel-0.36-1thac.i586.r...
The binary rpms depends on tcl/tk 8.4, which I don't recommend on 9.1 (I don't know about 9.2, but I was never successful with tcl/tk 8.4) It it doesn't work, just recompile it from the source rpm: http://rpm.nyvalls.se/9.1/SRPMS/pd-alsa-jack-extended-0.36-1thac.src.rpm The command to recompile would be: rpm --rebuild pd-alsa-jack-extended-0.36-1thac.src.rpm If it complains that the tcl/tk version is wrong, either edit the spec file or recompile with the --nodeps option. Learning how to work with rpm is a vital survival skill...

I think you only need the -dev packages if you are going to compile Pd. The regular packages should include the libs. But I am speaking from a Debian perspective.
My guess is that RedHat and Mandrake might have different standards for naming/symlinking their libs. I know RedHat and Debian differ, causing problems in the past.

Hi, do you also have the developement part of tcl/tk? I think you also need tcl8.x-dev and/or tk8.x-dev. Marius.

Hello !
I try to install the newet version of PD (http://crca.ucsd.edu/~msp/Software/pd-0.37-0.i386.rpm) on Mandrake, but I have little problem...! I try "rpm -i pd-0.37-0.i386.rpm", and I have this error: libtcl.so.0 and libtk.so.0 are needed, but didn't found.... I have downloaded and installed the newest version of the lib tcl/tk, but I have always this error... Why ? Where want PD find this libraries ?
Thanks !
Thomas
