at least in windows, you can install new languages from the microsoft
disc. you can then switch between languages with a special keystroke, or with a little application that you can always have running in the system tray. in windows XP, go to Control Panel, then go to Regional and Language Options. i'm sure comments are just standard ascii text right? when you swith to a different language it only switches the keyboard layout and allows the special characters to be displayed. hope this helps,
scott

Dear all,
recently a friend started using pd with his students in a japanese university.
it would be useful to be able to write comments in japanese when building tutorials for these students.
any ideas about how or wehther this might be done?
Most japanese tertiary students read english fairly well but it would be good to have the option in some cases.
