ah, yeah, that helped indeed, was too obvious - thank you very much for pointing it out to me.
another thing is i the effect i get if i have more than one particle chains open (more than one part_head in one patch or two seperate patches): they are interfering (the gravitation) in each other. is this meant to be like that?

the part_source object does have an inlet to change the number of new particles for each frame. you just nead to set it to 0 to have no new particle created. the older particles will live until part_killold.
