Hi there.
I'm taking my first steps with Pd on Linux and just noticed that unlike my Mac, where Pd just looks for the externals in their own directory, I'm getting a huge list, on startup, of obvious failures looking for libraries and externals everywhere.
it seems like with this installation of Pd you have enabled the "-verbose" printout, whereas on your other installation "-verbose" is disabled. it doesn't matter whether its osx, w32, linux or dos.
if you don't like it, go to the preferences, and disable the "verbose" button, save the prefs and restart Pd.
